Were You a Senior Supervisor at deskEmployee?

Former senior employees are subject to the restrictions for former supervisors (if you were one) as well as a number of other restrictions under 18 U.S.C. 207(c) and (f). Not only that, but as a political appointee, you are also subject to the Obama Ethics Pledge.

A "senior employee' typically includes members of the Senior Executive Service (SES) -- career and non-career -- or other individuals who are paid at a rate of basic pay, before any locality adjustment, that is equal to or greater than 86.5% of the rate for level II of the Executive Schedule. As of January 2014, the figure is $156,997.50 (though, assuming no pay freezes, that figure changes every January).

Please note: You can't assume that a person occupying a particular position is a "senior employee" or not. It depends on that person's salary. It's quite possible for a Regional Administrator in one region to be a "senior employee" while another Regional Administrator is not. Consult with OGC/Ethics for specific assistance.

Let's examine the restrictions for senior employees.
