After You Leave: 
What You Need To Know
After you leave federal service, you will still be subject to the criminal provisions of 18 U.S.C. 207 and its implementing regulations under 5 CFR Part 2641. If you were a procurement official, you will be subject to the Procurement Integrity Act at 41 U.S.C. 423(d) and 48 CFR 2.104.
Some of the restrictions depend upon your current rate of pay and your type of appointment. In addition, as a political appointee you are subject to the Obama Ethics Pledge as well.
