Classroom Lessons (ALL ABOUT PDF FILES)

Thirstin Builds an Aquifer PDF (2pp, 237K) - This class activity will have the students make an "Aquifer in a Cup" or "Aquifer on the Go". The students will learn how water is stored in an aquifer, how groundwater can become contaminated, and how this contamination ends up in a drinking water source. 

Thirstin's Ground Water Movement Activity PDF (2pp, 332K) - This class activity demonstrates that ground water must be able to move through underground materials. The students will act as molecules of water and the underground materials as well.

How People Get Their Water PDF (1pp, 121K) - A lesson plan that teaches students how reservoirs serve as holding tanks for drinking water.

The Water Source Books - The Water Sourcebooks contain 324 activities for grades K-12 divided into four sections: K-2, 3-5, 5-8, and 9-12. Each section is divided into five chapters
