To help differentiate PM2.5 collected by federal reference and equivalent methods, EPA created new names and codes for PM2.5 based on the monitoring method and data processing used. All data was previously labeled "PM2.5 - Local Conditions" (parameter code 88101). The description of this label was changed so that it represents only PM2.5 data collected using federal reference and equivalent methods. A new label was created "Acceptable PM2.5 AQI & Speciation Mass" (parameter code 88502). The reporting agencies have been giving permission for EPA to relabel data already reported as PM2.5 - Local Conditions to the Acceptable PM2.5 AQI & Speciation Mass where appropriate. This is an ongoing task for historical (pre 2006) data. The issue in the AQS Data Mart is that we recently discovered that the same data values were stored in the AQS Data Mart under both labels (for the same date and time). This occurred for 404 data points, all at two sites in Texas and all during 2000 or 2001. Investigation indicates this happened during EPA's testing of the conversion and we will correct it as soon as possible. We want to emphasize that there is no erroneous data, just the same measured values listed under both substance labels. The correct label for the values is "Acceptable PM2.5 AQI & Speciation Mass" (parameter code 88502). |

If you type in a parameter/substance name instead of choosing it from the pull down list, the query will fail |

If a "data source" of ALL is selected, but the "statistic" only has data from AQS, return the AQS values instead of an error. |

Add a different sort list to the substance names on the pull down list. Currently they are sorted by classification (not shown) then alphabetically. Change to pure alphabetic and possibly show classification. |

Convert all latitude and longitude data to a single datum (WGS84). This has changed as the data in AQS has been updated to a common datum. The Data Mart still shows WGS84, NAD83 (which is equivalent to WGS84 in the U.S.) or "Unknown" when the original datum of the coordinates is unknown. |
