Spreadsheet Program for EPA Performance Specification Tests Relative accuracy and 24 hour calibration drifts can be quickly and correctly calculated with this spreadsheet for any performance specification test (PST) with 12 or less runs. Graphing options are also incorporated into the spreadsheet. The purpose of the spreadsheet is to provide quick and consistent calculations to summarize or review PST data. The steps for using the spreadsheet are as follows: A. Load program and choose options: 1. Load Lotus 1-2-3. 2. Retrieve the PST program: * Call the menu by pressing the slash key, "/". * Select File" then "Retrieve" * Type a: PST (return). (Choose the drive where the PST file is located.) 3. The spreadsheet menu and title should appear: "PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION TEST SPREADSHEET." If not press the "HOME" key. 4. Enter the upper span value and applicable standard. Use the arrow keys until the curser highlights the correct cell and key in the data. NOTE: The spreadsheet was written to analyze data reported in parts-per-million. However, concentrations with any units could be inputed provided that these units are compatible (i.e. all entries in ęg/m3). 5. Make your selection by simultaneously pressing the "ALT" key and the letter of your choice. ALT (R) Relative Accuracy Calculations ALT (C) 24-hr. If you are entering new data press "ALT" and "Y" simultaneously and all the unprotected data cells will be cleared to zero. If you are editing the current data use the arrow keys until the curser highlights the desired data cell and enter the new data. 2. Proceed to enter the following: Number of runs included Reference method results CEMS data These cells should be unprotected and therefore blue. NOTE: If less than 12 runs are used for the PST the excess cells must remain zero. 3. The spreadsheet will display results for the following: a. Mean reference method value: b. Mean CEMS value: c. If you are entering new data press "ALT" and "Z" simultaneously and all the unprotected data cells will be cleared to zero. If you are editing the current data use the arrow keys until the curser highlights the desired data cell and enter the new data. 2. Proceed to enter the following: High level calibration gas value Low level calibration gas value (probably 0) CEMS responses for the 7-day period. Graphing Options: 1. Press "ALT" & "G" to locate the graphics menu. 2. Press "ALT" "B" to produce a bar graph to visualize the comparison between the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) and the reference method. Press enter to exit the graph. 3. Press "ALT" "H" to produce a bar graph that displays the difference between the CEMS response and the high reference value for the 7-day period and the corresponding %span results. Press enter to exit the graph. 4. Press "ALT" "L" to produce a bar graph that displays the difference between the CEMS response and the low reference value for the 7-day period and the corresponding %span results. Press enter to exit the graph. 5. Press the "HOME" key to return to the main menu. E. Printing Options: 1. Press "ALT" "P" to locate the printing menu. 2. Press "ALT" "A" to print the relative accuracy results. 3. Press "ALT" "D" to print the calibration drift results. 4. Press the "HOME" key to return to the main menu. F. To save the spreadsheet call up the lotus menu by pressing the slash "/." Select File and Save, enter a filename for the saved spreadsheet, and press enter. G. To quit Lotus, press slash "/" for the menu and select Quit, Yes, and Exit.
