    During EPA's Conference, a Biomass Burning Panel discussion was held on Thursday, August 16th, with the primary focus on estimates of fire emissions in the NEI. This document captures the highlights from that discussion. The contents of this document reflect only the highlights and indicate no priority for EPA to follow up on some of the items listed as next steps and critical suggestions. EPA will continue to work with the entire fire community to develop better emissions from biomass burning sources in future versions of the National Emissions Inventory.
