SAGE for Windows ** NOTE: For more detail instructions on how to use the program, see the file manual.txt ** INSTALLATION STEPS SAGE for Windows is a Asymmetrix(TM) ToolBook(R) 3.0 standalone application. You do not need to have ToolBook(R) to run the program. The program is a standalone application that includes all the necessary supporting files. The program is distributed as a self-extracting zip file, WSAGE10.EXE. To install SAGE for Windows: 1. Download the file WSAGE10.EXE into an otherwise empty temporary directory. For the purpose of these instructions, it is assumed that this directory is C:\TEMP. Substitute your directorys name for C:\TEMP if necessary. 2. If you are using Windows 3.1 or NT: In File Manager click on the FILE menu and select RUN. Enter the command line C:\TEMP\WSAGE10.EXE -D (without the quotes) and click OK. 3. If you are using Windows 95: Click on the START menu and select RUN. Enter C:\TEMP\WSAGE10.EXE -D (without the quotes) and click OK. 4. The file will extract into files in two directories called DISK1 and DISK2. 5. Use File Manager (Windows 3.1 or NT) or Windows Explorer (Windows 95) to find C:\TEMP\DISK1. In the DISK1 directory, double click on the file SETUP.EXE. This will start the installation program. You may stop the installation program at any time by clicking on the CANCEL button. 6. Follow the instructions on the screen. You will be asked: a. To enter your name and your companys name. b. Which directory or folder you want to designate for the SAGE for Windows program. The default is C:\WINSAGE. c. Which group (Windows 3.1 or NT) or program folder (Windows 95) you want to designate for the program icons. There will be icons for SAGE for Windows and for the Uninstall program. The default name for the group or folder is SAGE for Windows. 6. After the installation program is complete, you may delete all of the files in the temporary directory. It is recommended that you keep a copy of the file WSAGE10.EXE for backup purposes. 7. To start SAGE for Windows, go to Program Manager and click on the SAGE for Windows icon (Windows 3.1 and NT) or go to the START Menu, select Program Files, then select SAGE for Windows (Windows 95).
