WQX Web Resources and Downloads

WQX Web Tutorials and Example Data Files (ZIP 7.7MB)

Users can use these tutorial documents to test their use of WQX Web. When working with the tutorials and sample documents, users should log into WQX Web and adhere to the following:

  • Only submit tutorial data under the WQXTEST Organization ID
  • Use the following configurations to submit data:
    • IMPORT PROJECTS
    • IMPORT MONITORING LOCATIONS
    • IMPORT RESULTS
  • Delete all files out of WQX Web once you are finished

The zip file contains the following files:

  • Level1_WQXWeb_Tutorial.pdf - This tutorial introduces users to WQX Web. It walks users through updating details about their Organizations, accessing WQX look up values, and importing projects and monitoring location information.


    • The sample data files Level1_WQXWeb_Project.txt and Level1_WQXWeb_MonLocs.txt should be used with this tutorial.

  • Level2_WQXWeb_Tutorial.pdf - This tutorial walks through a full results file submission in WQX Web. The tutorial also walks through setting user specific look up values, and dealing with errors in WQX Web.


    • The sample data files Level2_WQXWeb_Results.txt and Level2_WQXWeb_Template.xls should be used with this tutorial.

WQX Web Basic Template (ZIP 597KB)

Users can use the basic template to assist in formatting regular results data, such as physical and chemical results that have been sampled and analyzed. The basic template can be used for working with the WQX Web tutorials, as well as the standard configurations:

  • IMPORT PROJECTS
  • IMPORT MONITORING LOCATIONS
  • IMPORT RESULTS

The template is made up of two Excel spreadsheet files that are meant to be used together to assist with data tracking and entry. Please unzip the file to access the template files.

The first file, "WQX_Web_Basic_Template_Dictionary.xls", provides a dictionary of the types of data, formats, and associated data rules that should be included within a WQX Web data file. The second file, labeled " WQX_Web_Basic_Template.xls " provides columns for entering in data, exporting the data into a text file, and making it ready for import into WQX Web.

WQX Web Data Logger Template (ZIP 597KB)

Users can use the data logger template to assist in formatting data logger results data as well as physical and chemical results that have been sampled and analyzed. The working template can be used with the following configurations:

  • IMPORT DATALOGGER RESULTS
