Quit Without Downloading File

You must have Oracle version 8i (8.1.7)® or higher and STORET Reports version 2.0.0 installed before you can install STORET Reports version 2.0.6.

This download is in the form of a compressed, self-extracting 6.05 MB file, named RPT_2_0_6.EXE. You should place it in a temporary folder, and double-click it to allow it to expand.

It will create a subfolder named "RPT_2_0_6", and will place 10 files and 4 subfolders in it, including a text README file, and a User Guide and a Reference Document for the Reports Module, both in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF).

You should print and read the README file in this folder, and follow the instructions you find there.

The README file describes three (3) steps to this install. The first is to download the self-extracting zip file, RPT_2_0_6.EXE. The second is a database modification step (DBSetup.bat) which may require the assistance of your Oracle Data Base Administrator (DBA). The third involve physically copying several files (Install.bat) into the STORET Reports operating directory. These copied files will replace the identically named modules which run the reports.

... The DBSETUP.BAT file will launch a Structured Query Language (SQL)*Plus session, provide connection to your STORET database, and execute the SRMUPDATE.SQL file which contains a series of SQL statements. Several rows will be inserted in the TSRRLIST and TSRPARM tables, and a new function "FLDSET" created in the STORET1 schema. A log file named SRMUPDATE.LOG will be created as a record of the database transactions. Database Administrators that have applied different database names, user names, and/or passwords than those provided by default with the STORET 2.0 database will need to make alterations to the connection statements in the SRMUPDATE.SQL and DBSETUP.BAT files.
... The default forms and reports directory locations provided by the installation of STORET Report Module 2.0 are C:\STORET\STRRPT\FORMS and C:\STORET\STRRPT\REPORTS respectively. Custom installations of STORET Report Module 2.0 to different locations will require editing the "repdrive" variable found near the beginning of the INSTALL.BAT file.
... Be sure you complete all steps before attempting to test any of these changes. Once the files have been copied into the proper directory, your opening screen for the STORET Reports Module should reflect the new version number, v2.0.6.

Installation of this software takes only a few minutes.
