Reducing Diesel Emissions from Orange County's Heavy-Duty Fleet Vehicles Project Summary-Orange County's Environmental Protection Division (EPD) began retrofitting their fleet of Heavy-Duty construction trucks with Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOCs) on November 2, 2009 and completed the job on December 31, 2011. This project commenced following the successful completion of their School Bus Retrofit project, in which 400 legacy school buses were retrofitted with DOCs. The DOCs selected for both projects were Purimuffler (manufactured by Engine Control Systems), designed to reduce up to 40%
