The complex nature of some blobs was shown in an additional set of photomicrographs. Some contain holes and occupied 10 or more pore bodies. Since the casts are fragile, some of these are broken in the photographs. All in all these illustrate the three-dimensional character which were seen to represent the majority of the volume of the residual saturation in this material.
