Areas of the country where air pollution levels persistently exceed the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) may be designated "nonattainment."

The EPA Green Book provides detailed information about NAAQS designations, classifications and nonattainment status. Information is provided as of the Green Book posted date and is available in reports, maps and file downloads.
