Select a different stateHow do I add counties from different states?
To add counties from a different state, click "Select a Different State," and choose a new state from the U.S. map. You can choose up to ten counties from various states.

How can I find what county a city is located in?
The map for each state shows most major cities. If the city you're looking for isn't on the map, or if you only know the zip code, you can access a list of cities and corresponding counties from the National Association of Counties site. Exit EPA disclaimer

How do I clear a county from my selected list?
If you wish to clear a selected county from your list, simply select the county again, either from the map or the list.

Why can't I select a county from the map?
Counties which appear grayed on the map have no recent data relevant to the Air Quality Index (AQI). Note that some of these counties could be part of a nonattainment area, even though they lack monitoring data. For a list of nonattainment counties by pollutant, visit EPA's Greenbook.

I selected a county but I don't get a report?
If no report is generated for a county, this generally means there were no unhealthy air quality days reported for the year based on your selected health criteria.

Can't see a map?
You probably need to download the free Macromedia Flash™ Player software from Macromedia's Web site. Exit EPA disclaimer
