Environmental Protection Agency Research Triangle Park, NC 27711 ABSTRACT The Environmental Protection Agency, in developing an evaluating sampling and analysis methodology for stationary sources, has collected information on availability and applicability of sampling and analytical methods. All of this information is compiled in three reference documents: "Stationary Source Sampling and Analysis Directory, Version 2" (SSSADIR), "Handbook of GC/MS Data and Information for Selected Clean Air Act Amendments Compounds" (Handbook), and "Literature Review of CAAA Compounds" (LitRev). The SSSADIR has information on which sampling and analytical methods to use for organic compounds listed in Title III of the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) of 1990, as well as Appendices VIII and IX of RCRA compounds, and the status of method evaluation for these analytes. The Handbook provides information on the mass spectra of selected CAAA analytes, primary quantitation ions, relative retention times and compatibility of the organic compounds in solution. The LitRev provides information on CAAA compounds for which EPA has no potential methods available but provides suggestions on ways to develop methods.
