ShowSPC - a Viewer for Spectra Files

ShowSPC V1.2 is available for downloading. It will enable you to view Spectra files in the SpectraCalc/LabCalc format on a PC under MS Windows. You may also link your web browser (netscape or mosaic) to ShowSPC to view the EPA Spectra files while browsing the Database on line. Click here to download the executable.

The newer version of ShowSPC (V1.2) has print capability. The printer settings may have to be changed to utilize the printing capability of the viewer for certain printer/print driver combinations (some HP LaserJets for example). It has been found that the "graphics print property" must be changed from a vector to raster print option. If necessary, this can be done by performing the following steps in Windows 95:

  1. Click on My Computer

  2. Right click the icon of the printer to be used.

  3. Click on Properties

  4. Select the Graphics tab.

  5. Select the Use raster graphics button (versus the Use vector graphics)
