Calculations and Test Methods

Calculations Information

The Paints and Coatings Resource Center has developed an Emission Calculator to help you through calculations from coating regulations that require you to calculate VOCs or HAPs emitted.

Purdue University, Indiana Pollution Prevention and Safe Materials Institute (now the Indiana Clean Manufacturing Technology and Safe Materials Institute) developed an Excel Spreadsheet to help with MACT compliance calculations.

Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality has developed a VOC & HAP Emission Calculations For Paints, Solvents, and Other Evaporative Loss Products to help calcuate evaporative loss.

Under the Boat Manufacturing (subpart VVVV) MACT, EPA developed a Computation spreadsheet and User's Manual for Boat Manufacturers that may be beneficial to other coating industries.
