STORET logo First National Modernized STORET Users Conference

Sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
November 7-9, 2001
Las Vegas, Nevada

On November 7-9, EPA hosted the First National Modernized STORET Users Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. About 140 representatives from state water quality agencies, interstate agencies, tribes, and the private sector participated in active discussions about the role of STORET in water quality management programs, how states have been using STORET, current STORET developments and applications, and ways to improve, promote and support the implementation of STORET nationwide. The attendees made a number of concrete recommendations to improve communications among STORET users and developers, improve training and technical support, strengthen the role of the Regional STORET coordinators, and broaden the resources needed to effectively implement the system.

Where available, presentations and discussion summaries from the national STORET conference have been linked to the Agenda, below.
