Biokleen is a pioneering brand and manufacturer of natural, non-toxic home cleaning products. Founded in a Portland, OR garage, Biokleen remains family owned and operated since 1989. Our Laundry, Kitchen, Household and Bac-Out® Collections are free of phosphates, chlorine, alcohol, ammonia, petroleum solvents, butyl, glycol ether —as well as the synthetic colors, artificial fragrances and optical brighteners. The first brand to offer ultra-concentrated formulas, we work to decrease our footprint—and the footprints of our customers—by innovating products that use less water, less packaging and less shipping emissions, and return those savings to the families who need them.

Biokleen currently offsets 100% of the energy and water used to manufacture through Clark Public Utilities Green Lights Program and the Bonneville Environmental Foundation.

Since making the switch to green power, in 2005, Biokleen has been featured in Clark Public Utilities’ campaign to educate local citizens and businesses about its sustainable energy programs and practices. The ads helped us to inform our most important consumers, our own community, about our product line and guiding principles. We extended that work to all longstanding and potential customers by including our offsets in our labels, marketing materials, and social media outreach.
