Autodesk helps people imagine, design and create a better world. Everyone—from design professionals, engineers and architects to digital artists, students and hobbyists—uses Autodesk software to unlock their creativity and solve important challenges.
Autodesk strives to reduce the environmental footprint of our facilities by designing efficient and sustainable buildings and workspaces, often through the use of our own software. We focus foremost on GHG emissions due to energy use since it has the most significant impact. Autodesk began its switch to green power when we started building our offices to achieve LEED certification in 2008, and we now use renewable energy wherever there is a local option available. In our U.S. offices, our energy mix includes 61 percent renewables. In addition to using green power when available, Autodesk voluntarily purchases carbon-neutral energy and renewable energy certificates and offsets. Globally, these totaled 13.8 million kilowatt-hours in fiscal year 2015, compared to 12.3 million kilowatt-hours the prior year.
