Incentive Size and Funding SourceGreen Madison offers businesses in the city of Madison incentives for installing recommended energy efficiency improvements. The maximum incentive is $40,000 or 20% of project costs. Incentives are calculated based on the amount of energy savings achieved through installing recommended measures:
  • $0.10/ kWh savings.
  • $300/ kW savings.
  • $1.00/ therm savings.

Other Selected Eligibility CriteriaThe Green Madison program is interested in reviewing CHP projects. CHP projects MUST be installed as part of an overall efficiency project that achieves a minimum of 15% energy reduction for the space/building. If the CHP system provides additional energy efficiency over the existing equipment, those savings will be considered along with whatever is done on the building shell, lighting, mechanicals, etc.
