Other Selected Eligibility CriteriaUnder this financial incentive program, a prospective CHP system must reduce energy costs at an amount equal to or greater than the amount of the system's installation cost within 10 years of installation. Project completion must be achieved within 2 years of grant approval, or the awarded capital grant may be reduced or rescinded.

A system's energy output must contribute at least 20% to electricity and at least 20% to thermal energy.
